BEFORE

Teacher's desk and AV desk fixed in place; 1 50-inch plasma display monitor suspended from the ceiling.

AFTER

The former teacher's desk has been divided into a lectern (for the instructor's use) + computer rack + OHC rack. Each of these can be moved.

The plasma display monitor has been replaced with an 80-inch jumbo-sized LCD touch panel screen.

There is no longer any need to look up to see the monitor, it can be read at eye-level. Visibility has also been improved thanks to the larger screen size. Flexibility in classroom layout has also been improved.

AFTER

The former teacher's desk has been divided into a lectern (for the instructor's use) + computer rack + OHC rack. Each of these can be moved.

There is a screen at the front of the classroom + 3 plasma display monitors.

The 3 plasma display monitors can be switched off independent of the screen at the front of the classroom in order to save energy or to encourage students to sit near the front of the classroom.

Because the components of the teacher's desk are mobile, the classroom layout is more flexible.
