Handling of Personal Information by Career office

Career office of Ritsumeikan Asia Pacific University
The Ritsumeikan Asia Pacific University Career office (hereafter called "Career office") shall observe the Act on the Protection of Personal Information and the rules of an incorporated school, Ritsumeikan University, regarding the protection of personal information. The Career office shall handle the personal information it obtains as follows:

The purpose of using the personal information written on the documents submitted to the Career office is as follows:
Information on career options and registration for job hunting
Personal information registered for career options and job hunting is used to send career information to students seeking for jobs, help students consider their future, and help students with their job hunting and recruitment activities.
Application for Campus Seminars, Company presentation and Recruitment screening
Personal information registered for application for campus seminars, the Company presentation and the Recruitment screening are used to confirm the participation of applicants, and send information on applicants and participants to the companies that conduct the Company presentation and Recruitment screening.
Information on students who have received job offers and have decided their future courses
Personal information on students who have received job offers and have decided their future courses is used to analyze the courses of graduates, support current students in deciding their future courses, and support the job hunting of students. We will also provide the career information of graduates to their former high schools, and provide this information to related people through the APU Koyukai Search system. The APU Alumni Search system can be used only by APU Koyukai students, graduates, full-time faculty members and staff members of the Career office. The information is also used as a source of statistics, which are used for responses to investigations by national ministries and agencies (the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology, etc.) and the media; bills posted in the campus for students seeking jobs; and as source data for statistics where no specific personal data is disclosed because this data is used for publications from APU.
Record of job hunting
Personal information provided by APU students to the Career office and saved in the record of job hunting, can be acquired through the Ritsumeikan Asia Pacific University Job Hunting System (Campusmate). Campusmate can be used only by APU Koyukai students, graduates, full-time faculty members and staff members of the Career office.
Regarding other information acquired through questionnaires, participation sheets and other sources provided by APU students for Career office-hosted support projects, the Career office will explain the purpose of data use each time it gathers data.

Personal information of APU students is securely managed to avoid its leak, loss or damage, according to laws and the rules of the incorporated school, Ritsumeikan University, regarding the protection of personal information.
＜ Outsourcing entailing the supply of personal information ＞
The Career office may outsource a part of its job including the handling of personal information, to external business operators after concluding a contract with these operators regarding the appropriate handling of personal information.
＜ Supply of personal information to third parties ＞
The Career office shall never supply personal information to third parties without the prior consent of the interested parties, except as specified in laws.
