3rd period: Explanations about the Graduate School of Language Education and Information Science (LEIS), Ritsumeikan University (立命館大学大学院 言語教育情報研究科) - (1) English Education Programme, (2) Japanese Education Programme, and (3) Language Information and Communication Course.
Ample time is given for questions.

5th period: Academic lectures by LEIS professors
Prof. Taura will talk about his research on bilingual brains conducted jointly with APU graduate students.
Prof. Arita will discuss Japanese linguistics and education.

Content: The Asian Development Bank (ADB) is an international financial institution made up of 68 members (of which 49 are from the Asia and Pacific region). To achieve a “prosperous, inclusive, resilient, and sustainable Asia and the Pacific,” ADB assists its member countries/regions in providing loans, grants, investments, technical assistance, advising, etc. to promote social and economic development.

ADB was founded in 1966 with their headquarters in Manila, Philippines, and representative offices in each member nation. We are happy to then welcome the representative of the Japanese Representative Office, KODAMA Harumi-san, to APU for a special guest lecture.

For this lecture, all students are welcome, but we particularly encourage English-basis students and graduate students to participate.
