OBS Television Special APU Students and Staff feature on the OBS Homepage!

On Thursday, September 16, 2010, APU student KIM Yeunyoung (APS2, Korea) and APU graduate currently working in the APU Office of the President, Eugene WANYAMA (Grad, spring'05, Kenya) were appearing in the Oita Broadcasting System (OBS) 50th Anniversary TV Special. KIM Yeunyoung is a member of the Korean traditional music student circle, "SAMURUNORI Shinmyong".
The program featured Eugene WANYAMA and KIM Yeunyoung trying their hand at bamboo basket weaving and Japanese pottery at local craft centers. The two also were appearing during the live studio broadcast as guest speakers.

In a similar project, foreign nationals from 50 different countries and regions living in Oita Prefecture are taking part in the OBS "Oita News by International Announcers" project. People from Indonesia, Afghanistan, Norway, New Zealand, and many more countries can be seen announcing recent Oita news stories in their native language. APU students and staff are also taking part in this project so be sure to take a look and see their attempt at news-casting!
