2007 Spring Conferral Ceremony for Scholarships and Awards

The APU scholarship system aims to foster academic excellence and active participation in academic and extracurricular activities.



The 'Spring 2007 Conferral Ceremony for Scholarships and Awards' was held at the APU Convention Hall on Wednesday, June 27.

The following scholarships were presented:
1. ANDO Momofuku Scholarship – 1
2. Academic Merit Scholarship – 12 (Academic Merit Award – 24)
3. Incentive Scholarship for Self-motivated Students – 2 circles (Incentive Award for Self-Motivated Students – 2 circles, 3 students)
4. APU-Club Domestic Students' Parents Association Incentive Scholarship for Self-motivated Students – 1 circle, 1 student)
5. APU Special Student Scholarship - 5

APU President Cassim and Deans from both the College of Asia Pacific Studies and the College of Asia Pacific Management presented the students and circles with their certificates.

Ando Scholarship recipient, MORISHITA Masae (APS 3, Japan) said, "I am extremely grateful for this scholarship. In the future I endeavor to develop a community-based business that will draw on the region's resources, and I hope to make contributions to international exchange and the local community."

After the ceremony, the prize winners had the opportunity to mingle with staff and faculty.
