Indonesian Week Starts at APU!

Indonesian Week commenced at APU on Monday, July 9.There are currently 139 students from Indonesia enrolled at APU and many of them are actively involved in student clubs such as 'APU Ina' which introduces Indonesian culture and 'Ai no Nami', which was established to assist nations affected by the 2004 Indian Ocean Tsunami disaster. Ai no Nami recently held an information session on their charitable activities in Indonesia on the Kinugasa Campus of Ritsumeikan University.

On the first day of Indonesian Week, an exhibition of traditional clothing and photos of Indonesia was on display inside the APU Cafeteria, and people were able to sample free Indonesian snacks and beverages.

The program for Indonesian Week is as follows

Event: Indonesian Corner
Program: Traditional clothing and photo exhibitions, free sampling of traditional Indonesian snacks and beverages and Indonesian language corner.
Time: 12:25-18:00
Venue: APU Cafeteria
*The 'Indonesian Corner' will be held everyday at the same time and place during Indonesian Week

July 13 (Fri.)
Program: Indonesian play and performances based on Indonesian legends.
Time: 18:45-20:30
Venue: APU Millennium Hall
