May 12, 2008

A one-day field trip to Dazaifu and Tosu for student residents of AP House was held on 10th May 2008, and approximately 150 students, including international students, went on the trip. This trip was planned by APU in order to deepen exchange between the students and to help them get acquainted with Japanese traditional culture and history. Departing from AP House at 8:30am, the students visited Tenman-gu shrine and Kyushu National Museum, opened in 2005 as the fourth of Japan's National Museums. After visiting both locations in Dazaifu City, Fukuoka Prefecture, the students then went to "Tosu Premium Outlets", an outlet shopping mall in Tosu City, Saga Prefecture.

Beginning last year, this was the third field trip for student residents of AP House. They have also visited places such as the Kyoto Museum for World Peace at Ritsumeikan University in Kyoto, and the Daihatsu Motor Plant in Fukuoka Prefecture.
