Curriculum

The APS curriculum provides an outline of the subjects that can be taken and the requirements for graduation. The curriculum that a student will study under depends on the year they enter the university. Except in the case when a student switches colleges, students will study under the same curriculum until they graduate.

Students at the College of Asia Pacific Studies are given a solid grounding in the areas of international relations theory, international social sciences and regional studies before proceeding to specialize in one of the four following areas: environment and development; hospitality and tourism; international relations and peace studies; and culture, society and media.

As one of graduation requirements, students must choose one Area of Study from the above Areas of Study and complete at least 2 credits from the Common Liberal Arts Subjects for the Area of Study and 28 credits from the Major Education Subjects for the Area of Study. The name of that Area of Study will be noted on their diploma.
