On November 22 and 23, 2013, the International Association for Asia Pacific Studies (IAAPS) 4th Annual Conference was held at De La Salle University, the Philippines.

Co-sponsored by IAAPS, the Yuchengco Center, and APU, the conference was held under the theme of "Inclusive and Sustainable Growth in the Asia Pacific: Regional and National Policy and Programmatic Challenges". We had three keynote speeches and 11 parallel sessions. Held over two days, this international conference brought together approximately 60 researchers from 24 institutions in 10 different countries/regions.



On November 23 and 24, 2012, the International Association for Asia Pacific Studies (IAAPS) 3rd Annual Conference was held at the Department of Japanese Studies, the Chinese University of Hong Kong. Co-sponsored by APU, the conference was held under the theme of "Change in the Asia Pacific World: Challenges and Opportunities".

The conference was held in parallel sessions each focusing on a separate aspect of Asia Pacific studies such as ethnicity, language learning, regional security, resource management and literature. The conference kicked-off with a welcoming speech by IAAPS President and inaugural President of APU, SAKAMOTO Kazuichi.

This conference was co-sponsored by APU, the Chinese University of Hong Kong Department of Japanese Studies, New Asia College, United College, and the Chung Chi College (three of the constituent colleges of The Chinese University of Hong Kong).

On Saturday, November 26 and Sunday, November 27, 2011, the AY2011 IAAPS Annual Conference / Asia Pacific Conference was held at APU. This event was jointly hosted by the Ritsumeikan Center for Asia Pacific Studies (RCAPS), the International Association for Asia Pacific Studies (IAAPS), Anthropology of Japan in Japan (AJJ), and the Ritsumeikan Research Center for Sustainability Science (RCS).
