Measures taken by the APU Library to Prevent Spread of the Novel Coronavirus

The APU library will take the following measures to prevent the spread of the novel coronavirus. We will update this homepage as necessary as the situation changes.



■Opening Hours

(APU Faculty, Staff, and Students)
・Extension of the loan period
The loan period of books with return due dates from January 30th, 2020 to June 21st, 2020 will be extended to Monday, June 22, 2020. It is not necessary to apply for extension of the due date.


・Use of the Library
(1) Please refrain from entering the library if you have a fever or cold/flu symptoms.
(2) Please remember to wash your hands frequently and observe proper cough etiquette.
(3) Please leave enough space between yourself and other library users to prevent infection.
(4) Pangaea 1 – 3 are currently closed, but the books, newspapers, periodicals, etc. are still available.



(Other Visitors)
・Those whose library cards identify them as “Library Friends” are not permitted to use the library at this time.


・The return date of any books borrowed is April 22, 2020. We will also accept returns by postal mail (shipping paid by sender).
