On Thusday Decembr 18, a RCAPS sponsored seminar was held at APU.
The seminar welcomed Mr. LEE Yuan Tseh, Nobel Laureate in Chemistry. His lecture was titled "Global Efforts for a Sustainable Future"

Global Efforts for a Sustainable Future
Mankind used to be a part of nature, reliant on the sun to fuel the creation of most what was needed to survive. Since the population of mankind was small, their limited activities seemed to have affected the environment to any great extent. With the industrial revolution, man has disrupted its balance with nature and has "overdeveloped" the world. Resources which have been unlimited became limited with the excessive consumption of man. This seminar aims to identify the problems created by this overdeveloped world and propose how to improve the present situation and action plans on how to achieve a sustainable future.
