The seminar attracted a good number of graduate and undergraduate students across several disciplines. The Q&A session had enough time, and discussion was interactive and constructive for the speaker’s planning of further research. Comments by faculty members of the International Relations were both critical and constructive, and the exchanges gave a good sense of what academics do to those students who may be considering further postgraduate study.
The speaker has previously been to Tokyo and Osaka, but never to Kyushu. We have been able to pitch not only the beauty of Kyushu, but academic rigor of APU. The speaker expressed his keen interest in coming back for academic workshops and organizing collaborative research projects.
