From July 20 (Sat) to July 21 (Sun), the Japan Society for Southeast Asian Studies Special Symposium was jointly held with the Research Center for Muslim Affairs as one of the APU’s 20th Anniversary events. Presentations were conducted on a range of topics by 6 researchers.
On Wednesday, July 19, RCAPS welcomed Prof. LEW Alan of Northern Arizona University to deliver a RCAPS Seminar entitled “Time and Space in Tourism and Community Disaster Resilience.”

On July 19 (Fri), Dr. URQUHART Lachlan, a Lecturer of Edinburgh University and Ms. MIRANDA Diana, a Lecturer of Keele University, will give special talks entitled “Regulating Smart Cities: AI & Urban Life” and “Policing the Future: Technology & Surveillance.”
