Established in 1998, the Ritsumeikan Journal of Asia Pacific Studies publishes papers relating to the peoples, societies, and cultures of the Asia Pacific region, including both the Eastern and Western shores of the Pacific and its islands. We welcome papers in both English and Japanese.

Note: Only articles by those who have been accepted to present a paper at the 2018 AP Conference will be considered for publication.
Ritsumeikan Journal of Asia Pacific studies is implementing the following reforms from 2012:
- All accepted papers are now classified in one of the following categories, and marked as such: Original Research, Review, Historical Perspective, Commentary, and Other (Technical Reports, etc.), as judged by the editorial desk.
- The printed issue will follow a smaller size compared with previous issues; the new printing size will be B5.
RCAPS also requests APU faculty members to help support the editorial task of checking manuscripts. Please let us know if you could provide us with an editorial view in your field of study. Please feel free to contact RCAPS at rjaps*apu.ac.jp.
