On Tuesday, October 24th, 2017, APU held research compliance training (in conformance with applicable laws) for its faculty and staff with Norihiko Sannomiya, a certified public accountant/tax counselor, as lecturer.
Earlier this year, in May 2017, Fundokin Shoyu Co. Ltd., a company based in Oita, Inspire Co. Ltd. and Ritsumeikan Asia Pacific University started new collaboration in developing new global product, Halal Soy Sauce.

Associate Professor HEO Seunghoon Emilia of APU’s College of Asia Pacific Studies has had her paper “World War II Narratives in Contemporary Germany and Japan: How University Students Understand Their Past” published in International Studies Perspectives, the journal of the International Studies Association, issued by Oxford University Press.
On April 24th, 2017, United Kingdom-based international academic publishing house Routledge released Regional Institutions, Geopolitics and Economics in the Asia-Pacific: Evolving Interests and Strategies (Asian Security Studies) 1st Edition, a book edited by Associate Professor Steven B. Rothman, Associate Professor Utpal Vyas, and Professor Yoichiro Sato of the College of Asia Pacific Studies.
On May 15th, 2017 APU will conclude an agreement of cooperation with Fundokin Shoyu Co., Ltd. and Inspire Corporation. The International Cooperation and Research Division, the main office responsible, expects to collaborate with Fundokin and Inspire Corporation to develop halal soy sauce and other products and promote them both in Japan and around the world.
