Presentation by Professor Hiroki Tahara at international symposium in Vietnam
On 22nd December 2018, an international symposium focusing on Vietnamese language and Vietnamese language research was held at Ton Duc Thang University (TDTU) in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. The symposium was jointly held by TDTU, the Australian National University (ANU), Ritsumeikan Asia Pacific University (APU), Kanda University of International Studies, Srinakharinwirot University (Thailand), University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), and Seattle University.
Professor TAHARA Hiroki of the College of Asia Pacific Studies attended the symposium and did a presentation about Vietnamese language education for Vietnamese children living in Kobe city. He also served as a co-chair of the conference committee. The symposium was organized by TDTU Associate Professor NGUYEN Van Hue, who was assisted by lecturer TRAN Thi Minh Gioi, both of whom were previously appointed lecturers at APU. This symposium has certainly served to strengthen the cooperative relationship between APU and TDTU, both educationally and research-wise.
