A delegation of 5 people from the Indonesian government, “Badan Koordinasi Penanaman Modal - BKPM (INDONESIA Investment Coordinating Board)”came to APU and 3 day training was conducted with the aim of training IT human resources.
From December 2 (Tuesday) to December 6, 2008 (Saturday), the trainees participated in lectures on "Management of Technology", "Information Network", "Software Engineering", "Multimedia and Interface Design", "e-Commerce & IT", "Data Mining", "Communications" and "Information Securities".
In the lecture, Prof. PISHVA talked about the need for training and continued acquisition of knowledge and skill when he commented, "As IT technology is changing everyday at a surprising rate, it is necessary for us, including us researchers, to brush up our knowledge and skills."
In addition to the lectures at APU, the trainees also visited Oita Prefectural Government、FUJITSU Support and Service 、Institute for Hyper-network Society and participated in lectures on "Redefining Municipality's Homepage", "Portal System（Contents Management System）", "Current State of Information Technology -through the use of the iphone" and "Protection of Personal Information that considers Human Rights".
APU has been accepting business human resources training programs and regional society development through OVOP training programs from different countries and regions all over the world, but this is the first time for APU to have a program in the ICT field.
