|Title||Insights into the Progress and Practices of Taiyonoie / Japan Sun Industries - For Realization of Social Inclusion -|
|Abstract||Taiyonoie or Japan Sun Industries (JSI) is a government registered and well established social welfare organization which has been promoting job opportunities for persons with disabilities since its inception in 1965. It upholds the motto of \\\\\\\"No charity, but a chance!\\\\\\\" and believes that physical disadvantages do not conflict with abilities to work and lead a productive and fulfilling life.
JSI has, among many things, also been providing living and health care facilities, vocational training, ADL and employment training for persons with disabilities so that they can return to society and lead lives full of dignity. Compensating their deficiencies, science and technology have been vigorously used in the workshops.
Currently, there are approximately 1,800 employees, of which 1,000 are persons with disabilities, working under banner of JSI, its joint venture and cooperative companies such as Omron, Sony, Honda, Mitsubishi, Denso and Fujitsu, to name a few.
