APU student, KOJIMA Hiroya (APM, Japan), of the APU Kickboxing Club made his professional debut at the “The J Boxing Fight – Tohoku Earthquake Disaster Charity Event, Part 3” held on November 30, 2011, in Nakatsu-City, Oita Prefecture. Hiroya won his first professional bout by TKO in the fourth round.
Hiroya is both a member of the APU Kickboxing Club and J-Nakatsu Kickboxing. Passing the professional kickboxing exam in July, 2011, Hiroya is now a licensed kick-boxer.
Looking back on his debut bout, Hiroya said that “there were times during training when things looked a bit bleak, but I was able to put on a good performance thanks to my supporters and the knowledge that I had friends and club-mates at my back. I look forward to more achievements like this”.
The APU Kickboxing Club continues to play an active role at events both on and off campus. Let’s look forward to more great results!
