On Saturday, February 4, 2012, thirty APU Taiwanese students joined fellow Taiwanese international students studying in Oita Prefecture at the Japan-Republic of China Goodwill Association of Oita Prefecture New Year’s Party held in Beppu City.
APU President KORENAGA Shun spoke on behalf of the invited guests and said “I look forward to welcoming more Taiwanese students aspiring to study at APU and helping them to develop into graduates with the skills they need to be active on the global stage”. APU student, LIN Chien Ting (APM2, Taiwan) spoke on behalf of the Taiwanese students. “It is a great honor to offer my new year’s greeting on behalf of the students in attendance. I hope that we will all continue to strive towards becoming a bridge of goodwill between Oita Prefecture and Taiwan in the future”.
Engaged in a range of initiatives including international student support and exchange events, the Japan-Republic of China Goodwill Association of Oita Prefecture is comprised of members and associations who aim to promote goodwill between Oita Prefecture and Taiwan.
Attended by invited guests and Taiwanese students studying at APU and other universities in Oita Prefecture, the event was a great opportunity to interact and develop new friendships.
