On Wednesday, January 26, 2011, the 2010 Student Activities Station (SAS) Closing Ceremony was held.
Operating under the concepts of “Human Development, Regional Development and Global Networking”, the SAS is an organisation set up to support students participating in extra-curricular activities. Centering on student members, the organisation is involved in a range of projects including planning and managing exchange events with the regional community and volunteer activities at local primary schools. Dean of Student Affairs, KIM Chan Hoe, handed each student their certificate before wishing them well in their future endeavors. Scheduled to graduate in March, YOSHII Atsumi (APS4, Japan) spoke of her experiences with the SAS: “I have enjoyed interacting with members of the local community and getting involved in the region through SAS. I want to lead a career that allows me to contribute to the community and these experiences have given me direction in my search for employment”.
