AFW is the most multi-culturally diverse student organization at Ritsumeikan Asia Pacific University, Japan. APU is Japan’s most internationalized university with around 90 countries represented in the student body. AFW models range from European, American, and Asian students studying full-time or on exchange programs. AFW 2015 is the organization’s third major production. Our student objectives include promoting camaraderie amongst multicultural students and appreciating contemporary arts through fashion and music. Through our events, we wish to develop self-image, confidence and self-esteem amongst young students while respecting individuality, with APU as a center for understanding internationalization in Beppu, Oita and Japan.
Our APU fashion circle is trying to enhance a sense of fashion for APU students by presenting modern day dresses that represent international trends. With that in mind, we hope that APU Fashion Week 2015 will be the kick-starter event of the spring-summer fashion season here at APU. We have lined up amazing activities such as a fashion exhibit, fashion photoshoot, lecture about sustainable fashion, make-up workshop and our Grand Show during fashion week. This year's Grand Show will be an absolutely tremendous event showcasing fabulous collections of eight designers from Philippines, Indonesia, Singapore and Kazakhstan with live music from the wind orchestra and Japanese drum circle (wadaikoraku).
So join APU Fashion Week 2015 to have a closer look at modern fashion designs and have fun with us.
