I have gained a significant and insightful experience through GLAD Program.
I have better understood the Sustainable Development Program, especially goal number 12, Responsible Consumption and Production. Working with my friends from Japan and China, we developed an idea to help to solve the Fast Fashion issue by collecting second-hand apparel and turning them into a fashionable clothing line that would be showcased in a fashion show at APU. This concept came out after a long deliberation process with everyone inside the team. The time we share among ourselves makes us know each other more and get closer than ever. The brainstorming process and things that we need to consider when developing a common idea are beneficial for my future career when working with different people. Furthermore, we also learn how to work under pressure and be open to suggestions from everyone.
I have only one message for all of you, future GLAD participants, always have an open minded-perspective! There is no one perfect idea; instead, there is only a great set of ideas coming from everyone. Be a team player and always strive to be the best team together.
