Discover Japan and the Asia Pacific in APU's multicultural environment!
Studying at Ritsumeikan Asia Pacific University, or APU, for 1 semester or 1 year will allow you to learn from students and faculty at APU who come from various cultural and ethnic backgrounds. We encourage exchange and study abroad students to bring their own unique culture and ideas to share while learning and acquiring intercultural communication skills in and outside the classroom. It is a truly unique atmosphere that cannot be found anywhere else.
Outside the classroom and off campus, we encourage students to get involved in student clubs and interact with the local Japanese community to better enhance their understanding of Japanese language and culture.
As an exchange/study abroad student you can:
- Study at APU for 1 semester or 1 year
- Start your studies in late March or mid September
- Take undergraduate courses in English and/or Japanese
- Obtain credit for study at APU towards your degree at your home university (check your home university for procedures and requirements)
Apply as an Exchange student if you are nominated by your home university, a partner university of APU.
Apply as a Study Abroad student if you are coming from a non-partner university of APU (fee based program).
