As commissioned by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science, and Technology (MEXT) for the "Promotion of International Exchanges in Japan," the Japan Association of Overseas Studies (JAOS) will be holding an information session on preparing for applying to graduate schools abroad. For those interested, please attend!
Content includes anecdotes of students who got accepted to overseas graduate schools, comparing Japan vs. overseas in regards to expenses and scholarships, the overall flow until you go abroad (preparation, etc.), the differences between countries in regards to studying abroad,and job hunting process after graduating.
We ask for your understanding in that for one part of the session, scholarship information that will be shared is only available for Japanese students.

As a part of efforts to facilitate job hunting for international graduate students, the Career Office has been organizing a lecture series designed for introducing those industries which may offer job opportunities in Japan or in other countries.
The second part in this lecture series is the introduction of the investment banking sector. The speaker is Dr. Ian Bisset, who has worked for the investment bank, TD Bank Financial Group in Canada as the Vice President. He will be sharing (i) an overview of investment banking operations (which fall under the category of stock brokerage in Japan), (ii) his experiences working in Toronto, New York, Singapore, London, Sydney, and Tokyo, and (iii) different entry points into domestic and foreign-based companies in Japan.
The lecture would be conducted in English during 5th period on the 14th of October at XXX under the facilitation of Prof. Tsukada. |
