Ms. Shoko Hanzawa has worked at various organizations such as the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), the Embassy of Japan, and Doctors Without Borders (MSF). She is now working as Policy & Political Advisor with the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), Delegation in Japan.
This is an opportunity to listen to her speak about how she built her career up to now, how she made decisions on her career path, and what motivates her to work in such wide variety of organizations. She would also like to provide practical advice to APU students. So, don’t miss it!

<Speaker’s Profile>
Master of International Affairs from Columbia University, School of International and Public Affairs. She worked at UNHCR Field Office in Croatia, Sub-Office in Afghanistan, and later Representation in Japan. She also worked with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, first at the Embassy of Japan in the Union of Myanmar, and later as Second Secretary at the Representative office of Japan to Palestine. After serving as Advocacy and External Relations Manager with MSF, she joined the ICRC. |
