On Wednesday, July 16, 2025, the second cohort of Current Student Future Visionary Vice President and Summit Members gathered on the APU campus to attend the official appointment ceremony. During the ceremony, President Yoneyama formally presented letters of appointment to each member and expressed his hopes for their future activities.

Following the ceremony, an opinion exchange session was held with the President on the central theme for upcoming activities: APU’s Lifelong Learning Initiative. The discussion was lively and though-provoking, focusing on how universities can continue to provide opportunities for ongoing learning in an era of rapid societal change, and how to further enhance systems for reskilling and continued education.

Moving forward, the Current Student Future Visionary Vice President and Summit Members will begin exploring how to implement this Lifelong Learning Initiative within the APU environment and will intensify their efforts toward developing concrete policy proposals.
