On June 3, 2020, the Nikkei Shimbun published the results of a survey conducted by Nikkei Inc. and Nikkei Human Resources, a job placement information service for both new and mid-career hires, about the perceptions that corporate HR managers have about Japan’s universities.
In the survey, APU ranked second in the category of “universities that companies are watching.” For this category, HR managers are asked to list the top five universities they are paying attention to. APU was commended for the quality of its students who develop international-mindedness and drive on the university’s diverse campus. Meanwhile, in the detailed version of the survey, APU ranked first among small-scale universities (i.e., universities with enrollment capacities of 1,500 or lower). *
