APU and Ritsumeikan University (RU) hold a Student Exchange Program

Sep 25, 2008

APU and Ritsumeikan University (RU) are encouraging exchange activities between the two universities for the purpose of promoting mutual understanding and exchange. So far there have been exchange activities aiming at strengthening the organization and business of Information SA's (Information Systems Assistant) and LA's (Library Assistants), and participation in inter-circle training camps and campus festivals.

This time, exchange programs are being held under various research themes at APU Campus, Ritsumeikan University Kinugasa Campus, and Biwako-Kusatsu Campus with the aim of academic exchange.

On September 23, 24, 2008, students from the Ritsumeikan University College of Social Sciences visited APU and under the theme of "International Society and Social Networks" held a workshop together with APU students. While they were here it was a valuable chance to hear lectures from their instructors from both APU and RU which under normal circumstances they would not be able to hear.

On September 24, 25, a forum at the Kinugasa Campus under the theme of "Thinking about East Asian coexistence and community (the concept of The East Asian Community)" was held in which 13 students from APU participated.

On September 26, 27 business visits and exchange meetings were also held at the Biwako-Kusatsu Campus with students of the Ritsumeikan College of Economics under the theme of "Learning International Economics".
