Ohana
Providing opportunities to learn about the importance of life and coexistence with animals and nurturing a respect for life through activities.

What is Ohana?

Ohana is a project that helps young people learn about the importance of life and living in harmony with animals, aiming to prevent animal hoarding and neglect. Through hands-on programs such as Life Education classes held at a children’s cafeteria, visits to animal protection centers, and engaging activities including pet photo contests and events that introduce animal welfare issues from around the world, Ohana promotes thoughtful, compassionate, and responsible coexistence with animals.

Event

On Sunday, March 22, the second “Life Education Class” took place at the children’s cafeteria Tomoshibi. Through quizzes and videos, participants explored and reflected on the lives of animals. During the workshop session, animal toys and bedding were created using recycled fabric, and the finished items were donated to the Oita Animal Welfare Center.
