APU and Kyutech Collaborative SI Project : Logo Selected from Internal Competition
Ritsumeikan Asia Pacific University (APU) and the Kyushu Institute of Technology (Kyutech) were selected by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science, and Technology (MEXT) for the "Multicultural Campus Project Toward Social Impact" (SI Project) in November 2024, and we created a logo to help promote the activities of this project.
We issued an open call for logo design proposals from students, alumni, and faculty members of both universities. Out of a total of 59 submissions, three were selected as award-winning designs, and one was chosen as the final design. The final logo was decided under the supervision of a design company.
To celebrate these award-winning logos, we held an award ceremony in May 2025 at both universities, where we presented certificates of appreciation and prizes to the creators of the winning and adopted designs.
Going forward, we will use this logo as a publicity tool for the SI Project at both APU and Kyutech. We aim to increase recognition of the project both within and outside of two universities, deepen collaboration between APU and Kyutech, and further highlight the project's goals.

Logo Concept
The green curve represents the Earth, while the line transitioning from red to blue signifies both APU and Kyutech. The integration of the liberal arts (red) from APU and the sciences (blue) from Kyutech symbolizes the role of global leaders who transcend borders and barriers to solve various challenges. The shape of the symbol mark incorporates the "A" from APU and the "K" from Kyutech, conveying the message of contributing to society through the creation of new value driven by the collaboration between the two universities.
