Improve Your Language Skills

This program is for students who want to improve their Japanese ability in a short period of time. In this program, students walk around Beppu and meet with residents of the community.

Students then propose ideas to the local government to promote local tourism and revitalize the community. In addition to acquiring the Japanese needed for information gathering, analysis, and proposal writing, students implement the ideas they presented to the local government and contribute to the community as part of the program. Join the program and interact with people in the community, help make life better in Beppu, and take your Japanese skills to the next level.

We are recruiting participants for the Japanese Immersion Program for 1 - 7 semester students as follows.
If you would like to participate, please read the application guidelines and syllabus carefully before applying.

Eligibility	Undergraduate English-basis 1-7 semester international students (except native speakers of Japanese) taking “Japanese Intermediate” in the AY 2023 fall semester, or who have already completed “Japanese Intermediate” but who have not yet registered for “Pre-Advanced Japanese”.
