ArcGIS is Geographical Information System software from ESRI. APU students and faculty members can use it online (via a web browser) or install it on their own personal computers only for research or educational purposes.

1. Requirements for Use

  • You must be an APU student or faculty member to make use of this software.
  • The software can be used for classes and non-commercial research.
    It is a violation of the license agreement to use the software for commercial purposes.
  • If you lose your eligibility due to graduation, retirement, etc. you will no longer be able to use the software.

    Must follow APU’s Information Systems Policy when using this software.

2. How to Use

Using ArcGIS Online (Browser Version)

ArcGIS Online uses the Microsoft365 Authentication Service. Access the ArcGIS Online Sign-in Page, click [Ritsumeikan Asia Pacific University], then sign in using your APU email address and password.
You will be able to use ArcGIS Online after signing in.

ArcGIS Pro

Please refer to the following manual to download and install the software.
