On April 1, 2026, the AP Language Poster Session was held. The event was primarily organized for new students and aimed to introduce the enjoyment of learning AP languages, provide guidance on course enrollment, and highlight the appeal of the regions where these languages are spoken.
Many new students, their families, and current students attended the event, creating a lively and welcoming atmosphere throughout the day. AP language instructors and administrative staff also participated, introducing the unique characteristics of each language and the benefits of studying them.
Six AP languages were featured at the session: Chinese, Korean, Malay/Indonesian, Spanish, Thai, and Vietnamese. Each booth showcased not only the languages themselves, but also the cultures and regions associated with them, allowing participants to interact freely and deepen their interests according to their individual curiosities.
The APU Confucius Institute also participated in the event and promoted the appeal of learning Chinese. In addition, Korean language learning materials donated by a corporate partner were distributed free of charge, attracting considerable interest from participants.
AP languages can be studied through a variety of learning opportunities, including regular courses, off-campus programs such as language immersion programs, the specialized course “Language in Action,” and the Self-Access Learning Center (SALC).
It is hoped that this session will encourage new students to take an interest in AP languages and broaden their future learning opportunities.
