The Institute for Professional Excellence in Global Learning (IPG) Workshop
The Institute for Professional Excellence in Global Learning (IPG), Ritsumeikan Asia Pacific University, will offer the following workshop as a part of our Faculty Development activities. We wish to welcome your participation to learn a basic idea of Assurance of Learning and course design.
Workshop Description:
In this interactive workshop, we will overview Assurance of Learning from the course perspective and look at how AOL can fit into L. Dee Fink's model of course design. You will examine and revise your course objectives, consider how to assess student learning, and structure teaching activities that are in alignment with your course objectives and measurement scheme. Please bring a copy of your course syllabus.

Lecturer Introduction:
Mary Jetter is an Education Program Specialist who has been with Center for Educational Innovation since 1999. She is an instructor in the international teaching assistant program, consults with faculty and TAs, and facilitates workshops. She also works with the Internationalizing Teaching and Learning (ITL) Program and CLA’s Career Readiness Initiative. Mary also oversees CEI's website, new TA orientation, the CSE TALK program and the Teaching Enrichment Series. Mary holds a BA in Latin American Studies and Spanish from Central College and an MA in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages from the University of Northern Iowa.
Mary is the liaison to College of Design, College of Liberal Arts, and Law School at the University of Minnesota.
