APU offers a wide range of English courses designed to develop language proficiency, intercultural understanding, and autonomous learning skills.
Features of CLE’s English Language Education
With experienced instructors delivering highly interactive and engaging lessons, students collaborate with peers and study intensively to steadily improve their English abilities.
English Language Program to Meet Diverse Needs
Japanese-basis students take a placement test upon admission, and their starting level in the Core English program is determined by the results. They then complete the required English subjects in sequence and earn the necessary English credits.
In addition, elective English subjects are offered to both Japanese-basis and English-basis students, aiming to enhance English skills useful for academic research and career development. Furthermore, students have opportunities to participate in overseas programs offered by APU or to take specialized courses in English, enabling them to maximize the development of their language proficiency.

Various Learning Programs
In English classes, students gain practical and valuable experiences through cultural exchanges with students from Japanese courses and special sessions featuring successful alumni. A variety of programs are also available for students to apply the language skills they have developed abroad, providing real-world opportunities to put their learning into practice.
