High School Student
Future Visionary Vice President

Sometimes, life can feel boring, and we don't understand the significance of studying. Like the moon that doesn't show its face on cloudy days and doesn't light up the darkness, there may be times when light doesn't shine upon us. These are the feelings we high school students often carry.
Even though I am a high school student, I am entrusted with the mission of acting as a bridge to the university as the Future Visionary Vice President. I strongly feel that our generation holds the key to shaping the future and it is our turn to walk the uncharted path. Collaborating with my peers, we will take action and offer our unique perspective to pave a new way for universities!

I'm excited to start my activities as a Summit member. While there's a bit of nervousness being a part of APU's first endeavor, I'm determined to make it a fun and enjoyable year that outweighs any worries. Above all, I want to give my best effort to make APU and society as a whole a better place. Please, let me hear many of your thoughts.

While I have some apprehension about being entrusted with such a significant role as a Summit member, it is outweighed by even more anticipation and excitement!
I am truly looking forward to the numerous encounters and experiences that will go beyond the framework of "school." I want to think deeply about the future of learning, update my values, and connect these insights to my future.
There may be difficult challenges ahead, but by collaborating with the Future Visionary Vice President and other Summit members, I aim to become part of a team that attracts attention not only from Japan but from around the world. Through this experience, I aspire to become someone who changes and influences society, rather than just adapting to it.

I am truly honored to be part of such a significant project. Even if it is small, I want to create a new impact on the world through this activity, and I am committed to contributing to the best of my ability.
As a Summit member, I believe it is important to balance two aspects: supporting the Future Visionary Vice President and finding what I can do within that role. Although this is my first challenge, I aim to learn and grow significantly through this experience.

Hello! My name is Kotaro Hayashi, a second-year high school student living in Shiga Prefecture. I am excited to announce that I will be participating as a Summit member.
My favorite activity is engaging in dialogue! Not only do I want to spark conversations within our team, but I also aim to stir discussions about the numerous educational challenges Japan faces, including those at APU.
Over the next 10 months, I will do my best to think about what I can do through dialogues with all of you, while also facing various challenges. I look forward to working with you all!

At the onset of leading this new initiative, I primarily would like to enhance and engage all the stakeholders that make us members of APU and the world, as we take it upon ourselves to shape it. As Future Visionary Vice-President, I aim to promote the three principles of CO-llaboration, CO-creation, and CO-existence, which I refer to as the "3 Co's". We must also catch up and lead the race in terms of AI and technological innovation, by learning the essential know-hows and leveraging it in the right way. Together, as a global community, we must all learn, unlearn, and relearn as we go on to shape the world as future leaders and global citizens. From ME to YOU to WE, let us grow and make this world OURS.

My dream is to build a society where many children can feel happiness through education. Currently, there are many criticisms of the education system in Japan. However, I aspire not only to propose unilateral ideals but also to engage in discussions that transcend the boundaries of each perspective and make more concrete recommendations. I aim to create an environment where, through dialogue, we can understand each other and co-create together.

I believe in APU’s mission: “Shape your world.” As a Summit member, my goal is to focus on the things that can empower APU to fulfill its mission. This includes a lot of deliberate actions such as hosting spaces for students to express what they need, and expanding their network to find opportunities as students. In addition, I want to promote a culture of excellence in APU. Which will result in better academics, lifestyle, and overall learning journey.
