Comment

Course in General Linguistics is a compilation of lectures delivered by Ferdinand de Saussure, one of the founders of modern linguistics, based on notes taken and edited by his students. Saussure proposed a structuralist perspective that views language as a "system of signs," and his theories have profoundly influenced semiotics and various fields within the humanities and social sciences.
This is a must-read for students interested in linguistics.

The selfish gene
/ Richard Dawkins
Comment

The Selfish Gene by Richard Dawkins is an introductory book on evolutionary biology that I highly recommend not only to those interested in biology but also to anyone curious about evolution, human behavior, and the mechanisms of culture. It offers a clear explanation of various aspects of human society, such as maternal love, aggression, cooperation and betrayal, conflicts between sexes, and generational conflicts, all from a genetic perspective. For me, this book was also an eye-opener, making me realize the importance of "diversity".
