On Friday, July 15, 2011, the 2nd Seminar of Indonesia was held under the theme "Locating Indonesia's Role in the Asia Pacific's Economy and Security Dynamics".
Organized by the Ritsumeikan APU Indonesia Society (APUIna) and RCAPS, this seminar discussed a variety of issues related to economic and security affairs in Indonesia, Asia Pacific and beyond. This seminar, which was conducted for the second time, has become an annual event.
On Wednesday, July 6, 2011, Mr. Masafumi ISHII, Deputy Director – General, Foreign Policy Bureau delivered an Ritsumeikan Center for Asia Pacific Studies (RCAPS) seminar entitled “Strategic Panorama - What are the Main Trends in the Region and What Should be Done Today for the Stability and Prosperity of the Region in 20 Years?”.
The seminar provided information about Japan’s future over the next 20 years along with major regional players such as the USA, China, Russia, Korea, India, and ASEAN countries.
On Thursday June 23rd, an RCAPS sponsored seminar was held at APU.
The seminar welcomed Prof. Hiroyuki TOSA(Professor, Graduate School of International Cooperation Studies, Kobe University)to give a lecture titled, "Crossing Bio-political Borders through Aesthetic Representational Works: Challenging the Japanese Fortress against Refugee".
