The RCAPS Current Research Seminar entitled “Automotive Industrialisation in Southeast Asia and Central Europe” was held using a Zoom meeting function from 13:00 on Monday, March 15, 2021.This seminar covered (1) the current state of the automotive industry in Southeast Asia and Central and Eastern European countries in the global automotive industry, (2) the government capability of Southeast Asia and Central European countries (neo-developmental state of ASEAN vs. embedded liberal state of Visegrad 4), (3) the Characteristics of industrial policy in both regions, (4) the case study of Thai automotive industry, (5) the case study of Czech automotive industry, and (6) the comparative analysis of Thai and Czech automotive industry. The seminar was a very beneficial itself, and having a graduate of APU who was in charge of automotive industry in Europe made the seminar even more meaningful.
