The theme for the AY 2008 Asia Pacific Conference (AP Conference) was "The Asia Pacific and the Emerging World System."
There were two core panels on East Asian migration, and globalizing social science in East Asia.
After plenary sessions on the two mornings, there were three concurrent panels running each afternoon, dealing with a wide variety of topics covering all of APU's major research interests.
There were 61 papers spread across 15 panels.
