Reason Why You Decided to Apply
On this program, you don’t know where your destination is until after the lottery, and you have to find each hotel same-day after you arrive. I applied for this program because, of the many overseas programs APU offers, this one seemed like a big adventure, and I thought that would be fun.
How the Program Helped You Grow
On this program, I learned how to face myself. During the 10 days I spent with my group members, there were times when our opinions differed and the atmosphere wasn’t so good. However, we were able to overcome those conflicts by discussing and sharing our thoughts and feelings, and at the same time, we were able to face ourselves. I realized my own strengths and my group members often helped me realize areas I could improve on.
Message for Students Interested in the Program
If you are on the fence about whether or not to participate, you absolutely should. There are many things that you can only get or experience through this program. Also, depending on how much effort you put in, you can grow a lot. Of course, it is not a sightseeing trip, so there are many hardships, but you get a huge sense of accomplishment.
