Reason Why You Decided to Apply
I participated in this program to clarify my vision for the future by experiencing the daily life in the U.S. and gaining internship experience in a real workplace. I felt that this program was the best fit for me because it gave me the opportunity to work in the American multinational society, and it also selected my internship place for me based on my field of interest.
How the Program Helped You Grow
Over the past three months, I experienced the American way of working and thinking about work, and felt that it is necessary to increase the importance of work-life balance in Japan. I hope that we can guarantee a comfortable work environment for all workers, including workers from other countries in Japan, and that this will also lead to a livable society for all (regardless of race, gender, age, nationality, etc.). In addition, by taking time to examine myself carefully, I was able to clarify my vision of the future.
Message for Students Interested in The Program
In addition to study abroad, this Service Learning Program allows you to experience working abroad. By having clear goals and getting out of your comfort zone you’ll be able to develop yourself personally and mentally.
This program also allows you to attend lectures at the University of Texas at Austin, so you can deepen your learning with students in America who have different perspectives and ideas. Why don’t you spend three months in Texas?
