Reason Why You Decided to Apply
My goal is to become someone who can openly share more about myself at APU. However, at that time, I was unable to express my opinions or take initiative. I came across the SECOND program when I was thinking about how I could change that part of myself. I saw it as an opportunity to face my weaknesses. Wanting to discover a new version of myself, I decided to take on the challenge of participating in the SECOND program.
How the Program Helped You Grow
I went through the activities in unfamiliar places, where I was able to learn about intercultural understanding. I also set new goals for language learning and becoming more proactive by interacting with local people and group members. These experiences have changed the way I think about my future studies and career. Through this experience, I want to grow into a person who can positively influence others and inspire them to take courageous action.
Message for Students Interested in The Program
This program is not just about completing tasks; it helps you improve a wide range of skills, such as survival skills, intercultural understanding, and problem-solving, through exposure to diverse cultures. It also becomes an opportunity for personal growth, as you will face many challenges both individually and as a group. I hope to encourage those who want to discover “a new world and a new self” to take on this meaningful challenge.
