Bandung is the capital of West Java province in Indonesia, the country's third largest city, and second largest metropolitan area in Indonesia. Located 768 meters (2,520 ft) above sea level, Bandung has cooler temperatures year‐round than most other Indonesian cities. The city lies on a river basin surrounded by volcanic mountains. Bandung is well‐known as the City of Flowers and as Paris van Java as it is surrounded by green hills that make for stunning scenery and cool weather. It is also renowned as the hippest city of Indonesia, with its
stylish distro’s and malls where the latest trends can be obtained. There are also plenty cosy cafés and restaurants where one can dine while enjoying the breath‐taking view over the city. The high pulse of fashion, pop music, and youth creativity is obvious everywhere. There are plenty of interesting places to hang out, just to relax or to have discussions with friends and peers after classes.
The Parahyangan Catholic University’s academic community has grown and developed in terms of facing new demands. Numerous individual and institutional innovations and achievements have been achieved.
