On September 28, 2016, a panel discussion for the faculty and staff of APU was held to report on APU acquiring accreditation from AACSB International1 in August 2016. APU alumnus ISHIKAWA Kana (College of Asia Pacific Management2, 2008 Spring, Japan) and Mr. TAKITA Hiroyuki, President of Oita Paper Products Co., Ltd. and former GCEP3 student, discussed the value of accreditation and offered their feedback as two outside stakeholders who participated in the accreditation process.

In the latter half of the session, Professor OTAKE Toshitsugu, Dean of APM and GSM, explained the challenges the college and graduate school must tackle for their quality improvement ahead of the accreditation renewal screening scheduled for 2021.
