ABOUT EDLSC

APU‘s Co-creation Space: Why Do Students Grow Here? APU’s learning environment is more than simply bringing together diverse students in one classroom. “How do students from all over the world learning together?" "What skills do they develop?"

EDLSC (Education Development and Learning Support Center) offers a university-wide curriculum where students learn from diversity and acquire genuine collaboration skills.

MISSION

EDLSC's core mission is to cultivate inclusive leaders who embrace diversity, pursue lifelong learning, and bring positive change to the world. Through educational development and enhancement unique to APU, we pioneer the forefront of education that changes the world.

EDLSC fulfills the following four roles to consistently improve APU's education and ensure student growth.
  • Education Design
    Education Design

    Develops lifelong learning and multicultural collaboration skills in the first-year curriculum. Expands students' perspectives and skills significantly through leadership training, career development, intercultural communication, and overseas study programs.

  • Multicultural Collaborative Learning Model
    Multicultural Collaborative Learning Model

    Creates Multicultural Collaborative Learning unique to APU by leveraging an outstanding multicultural environment.

  • Faculty Development (FD) & Institutional Research (IR)
    Faculty Development (FD) & Institutional Research (IR)

    Verifies and improves the quality and effectiveness of APU's unique education.
    Includes FD/SD (Faculty/Staff Development) and IR (Institutional Research/Data Analysis).

  • Advising & Collaboration
    Advising & Collaboration

    Supports learning of diverse students by individual advising. Promotes education for social impact through collaboration.
