APU School of Management Dean Lailani Alcantara named to AACSB board

APU's School of Management Dean, Lailani L. Alcantara, has been elected to the board of directors of AACSB (Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business). AACSB is an accrediting organization that reviews leading business schools worldwide. Founded in 1916, AACSB is a non-profit organization with 1,700 members in 55 countries.
Regarding her election to the board of directors, Alcantara stated,
“I believe deeply in the mission of AACSB to make positive societal impact through the advancement of business education globally. Its Board of Directors is made up of educators and professionals who share this mission and commitment to leading boldly and responsibly. I am honored and privileged to be given the opportunity to serve and contribute.”
Alcantara joined APU in 2010 as an assistant professor, served as a visiting professor at Cornell University in the United States for a year in 2018, and became a full professor at APU in 2019. She also assumed the role of Director of the Center for Inclusive Leadership. Specializing in business management, she teaches courses such as organizational behavior, human resource management, and global management. Since April 2021, she has been serving as the first female dean of APU's School of Management. She is highly respected and popular among students and faculty.
