Mengmeng CUI (APU Alum/a member of the first intake of APU students and the inaugural Chairperson of the APU Singapore Alumni Association)

Every small contribution counts, when there will be more lucky kids like myself who will be able to go to APU and enjoy a great and 100% unique experience in Beppu.

I really liked Beppu, the people there are so nice and in many ways we as APU graduates wouldn't have become who we are if it weren't for their kindness and openness. I still keep in touch with her former host family in Beppu.

On campus, aside from having an international crowd and so many languages spoken around us, I liked the fact that APU gives back to the community by having local kids and organizations come to campus to conduct surveys and communicate with our students. It was always a lot of fun to interact with the kids

The most valuable thing I took away from my four years at APU was the knowledge I gained of international society. Whenever APU students meet someone from a small or different country, you know where this country and can associate it with a person you met at APU and also with their cultural background and the values.

○ Message for APU students
From time to time when you are stuck on top of the mountain with bad weather, you may wonder what you are getting out of APU, but APU in itself is a treasure! So, embrace life at APU, have fun, talk to people and enjoy the time there! Good things will follow!
