Reason Why You Decided to Apply

I entered APU with the goal of working at outside of my country in the future, but I felt that I was not speaking English well enough. I thought this program was the best choice for me, as I could experience an internship and learn English at the same time. Before applying for the program, I felt that it would be a difficult challenge for me, but I decided to do it because I thought it would help me achieve my goals.

How the Program Helped You Grow

There are two things I was able to improve through this program. The first is "cross-cultural understanding." I thought I had gained an understanding of other cultures through my studies at APU, but the people I met and the experiences I had while living in the U.S. helped my Cultural Intelligence (CQ) score, an indicator of intercultural communication skills, drastically improve after returning home. The second is " initiative”. I felt that the APU staff and UT staff were quite generous in their support for this program. However, people cannot grow without acting by themselves, and I feel that I was able to develop my initiative.

Message for Students Interested in The Program

Looking back on this program, everything I experienced in the U.S., including study, cross-cultural exchange, and my internship, are the best memories ever. If you are interested in this program, I recommend you to apply. Everything you experience in the U.S. will be valuable to you in the future!
